Marie Curie Cancer Care is to receive a welcome fundraising boost after being chosen as the 2014 charity partner for leading Norwich -based electric water heating manufacturer, Heatrae Sadia.
Heatrae Sadia, which is based in Hurricane Way Norwich, has pledged to give practical support to the charity, which provides care for those suffering from cancer, and has set a fundraising target of £50,000 for 2014. The charity was chosen as Heatrae Sadia's official partner after an employee vote.
Throughout 2014, Heatrae Sadia employees will help to raise money for the charity, donate their time to volunteering for local projects, and get involved in local campaign work.
Paul Rivett, managing director of Heatrae Sadia, comments: "To be fundraising for such a worthy cause means a great deal to everyone at Heatrae Sadia and we look forward to getting involved with the exciting fundraising activities.
"We hope to raise a significant amount of money this year which will make a huge difference to Marie Curie Cancer Care and everyone who benefits from their care.”
Fabian French, director of fundraising for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to have been chosen by Heatrae Sadia's employees as their charity partner. All of us at Marie Curie are looking forward to working on what is set to be a fantastic partnership and we can't wait to see all of the wonderful ways Heatrae Sadia employees raise money for Marie Curie.
"All the money raised as part of the partnership will enable us to continue providing free care to those approaching the end of their life, either at home or in one of our nine hospices.”
