A total of 45 Megaflo eco unvented indirect cylinders have been installed at Ropemaker Place, a new landmark building offering 595,000 sq ft office space occupied by a number of professional and financial companies. Designed with the environment in mind, the building carries a full BREEAM rating and features extensive roof terraces.
Simon Russell, Head of Specification for Heatrae Sadia, said: "Due to the design and construction of the building with the bio mass boiler plant room located at the lower basement level, the primary water pressure was in excess of normal parameters. Working closely with our customer, we were able to adapt the Megaflo's by fitting specialist valves that would be able to cope with the higher pressures within primary water circuit. In addition, we were able to provide the solution for the electrical control to enable the integration of each Megaflo into the building management system. The fact that we were able to provide bespoke, highly effective water heating for such a high profile building as Ropemaker Place, not only demonstrates the flexibility of the product, but also our knowledge and expertise in finding the right solution for our customers."
Heatrae Sadia's Megaflo eco has been installed in a number of other high profile landmark buildings, including 7More London and The Building Centre. The 20 storey building was designed by Arup Associates to offer top notch office accommodation for professional and financial service providers features two trading floors at the lower level with a variety of floor plates situated above.
