Renewable Energy Installer, the organiser of the Energy Efficiency & Renewables Awards, was impressed by the quantity and quality of entries this year. Judged by a panel of experts including representatives from the Electrical Contractors Association, the Sustainable Energy Association, HETAS and Renewable Energy Assurance, the awards are highly regarded in the heating sector.
The Megaflo Eco SolaReady cylinder is an innovative, high-performance cylinder, where all the components required for a solar thermal cylinder installation are neatly incorporated into one unit. The cylinder, which was designed with energy efficiency in mind, comes with a pre-wired Megaflo differential temperate controller, which, combined with the 60mm of cylinder insulation, means that heat loss is minimised and energy efficiency is maximised.
On being shortlisted for the award, Jon Cockburn, head of marketing at Heatrae Sadia said: "It's so important for us to continue to deliver new products, but also to ensure they are as energy efficient as possible. Being shortlisted is testament to that commitment, which is central to our ethos and a driving force for innovation.”
Heatrae Sadia is one of the six companies to be shortlisted in the Green Innovation of the Year category at the Energy Efficiency & Renewables Awards. The product was also shortlisted for the Housebuilder Awards in 2013 and the H&V Awards in 2014, and highly commended in the Dublin Energy Efficiency Awards.
The awards ceremony will take place on September 26 2014 at the Kensington Roof Gardens.
